| So I beat it. I made it all the way to the final boss with no help, but after futzing around against him for too long I checked Youtube and someone showed how to beat him. For those who get stuck at the boss: reflect. That's all I'll say.
Otherwise, I thought the whole thing was just outstanding. Some of the puzzles were way nastier than any of the ones in the original Portal, and confusing as hell, but overall it was awesome and definitely held my interest til the very end. Highly recommend you check it out. | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
| | So two and a half hours just vanished for no good reason because of this. It's a map-pack for the actual Portal game, based on some of the work that was put into the "Portal Flash Version". Everyone who liked Portal should totally go check it out. It's certainly more aggravating than the original Portal because there are some bits that really are dexterity tests rather than puzzles but aside from that so far it's awesome. I'm only stopping now because I realized what time it is! | comments: Leave a comment |

| So, saw Iron Man last week. Liked it a lot, it's definitely my favorite superhero movie of all time. Give it a 10.
Just got back from Speed Racer in IMAX. Exceeded my expectations by a mile! Give it a 9.5.
So far, pretty good year for movies! Can't wait for the next Indiana Jones, although I really hope it doesn't suck. | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
| For fans of classic science fiction (and sci-fi in general, I hope) there were three authors who were pioneers in their field: Isaac Asimov, Robert Heinlein, and Arthur C. Clarke. Today, the last of the "big three" passed on.
Guess it would be an appropriate time for me to reread Rendezvous with Rama again. | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |

| It only takes a spark to rekindle the obsession...
I had been trying to avoid watching the "new" Evangelion movie until it came out on DVD... trying so hard. Then I found out the DVD won't be out til APRIL and I said F@#$ it, I'll watch the Cam version.
It's good... oh it's so good. At first I was like "did they even reanimate anything?" And then as it goes along you see more and more look better and better and then Ramiel shows up and I'm like FUCK this is how good Eva should've looked all along. I can't wait for the next film.
Now I gotta go make a preorder at CDJapan... | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |
| For those chomping at the bit (like me) waiting for Rez HD, here's a great DigiPen game that I highly recommend checking out: Synaesthete Think Beatmania meets Robotron, with a Rez sensibility to it. Some of the text in it is ridiculous but I love the music and the OST is free for download on their site! But the game's good too, check it out. Back to work. I'll do a bigger State of the ErMaC post later this week I hope. | comments: Leave a comment |
